Blood Pressure Management

Summary

The prevalence of hypertension in US adults increases with age. Hypertension is the most consistently powerful predictor of stroke and lowering blood pressure results in a significant reduction in stroke incidence. JNC7 provides new classification and management guidelines for hypertension.

• Identify the compelling indications for individual drug classes for management of hypertension
