About Spotlight Series
Complimentary CME/CE presentations delivered by American Heart Association experts at hospital grand rounds, nationwide.
Heart disease is the number one killer of men and women in the United States, and nearly 70% of the population, over 60 years of age, are personally affected by cardiovascular disease. Educating healthcare professionals on the latest science, and current guideline recommendations can help to improve patient care and promote better outcomes.
The American Heart Association promises to be the most trusted provider of quality and relevant professional education by delivering best practice and emerging scientific knowledge to healthcare professionals and resources to translate that knowledge for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Spotlight Series, which began in 2008, offers free, case-based presentations designed to educate healthcare providers on evidence-based practices. The target audience includes internists, family practice physicians and other primary care physicians; cardiologists, nurses, pharmacists, physician’s assistants and other clinicians involved in the treatment of patients with or at risk for cardiovascular disease. The AHA is the accredited provider for this program and CME/CE credit is available to all physician, nurse and pharmacist attendees.
By incorporating Spotlight Series presentations into your institution’s educational programming, together we can help build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
